2019 Diamond Kings PYT Case Break Advice.

2019 Diamond Kings has always been a personal favorite of mine. I am a big vintage guy, and this product does an amazing job of infusing players from all eras into one phenomenal set!

For example: You may be interested in buying the White Sox for guys like Eloy Jimenez and Michael Kopech, however end up with a Shoeless Joe Jackson relic. Yes it’s possible, and I LOVE that about this product.

Anyways…. let’s get into the meat and potatoes!

TOP PLAYS

  1. New York Yankees

The Yankees have the best checklist in this years Diamond Kings hands down. (2nd isn’t even close).

Take a look at the checklist below:

This checklist has everything you could possibly ask for. It has an Aaron Judge auto that isn’t a SSP, and even has a 1/1 Mickey Mantle cut auto. Take a look at the names on their checklist.

The New York Yankees are an absolute MUST PLAY any chance you get.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

Ok this may not be the most popular play on release day, but it’s a play that we couldn’t comfortably put any lower than #2.

Take a look at the checklist below:

Vin Scully is why we ranked the Dodgers so high. The fact that his auto isn’t SSSP in this product, means the Dodgers may actually have the 2nd or 3rd most expensive non short print auto to come out of this product.

We are also taking into account that Bellinger is on a major upswing at the moment, Buehler and Kershaw appear on the checklist as does top pitching prospect Dennis Santana. Oh yea, Jackie Robinson is also in here along with a ton of other short printed hall of famers.

This is a sneaky sneaky top play and one we strongly recommend.

3. Atlanta Braves

The Braves checklist features the usual suspects we have come to expect.

Take a look at their checklist below:

Ronald Acuna? Check! Ozzie Albies? Check. Freddie Freeman? Check! Couple of tough Hall of Famers? Yes!

The Braves have a nice strong checklist which we can confidently recommend on release day.

STRONG PLAYS

4. Los Angeles Angels

The Angels find themselves sitting at number 4 due to Mike Trout ending up on the back of the milk carton.

No Mike Trout Auto = Serious downgrade

Take a look at the Angels checklist below:

There is a lack of star power here, however Ohtani keeps them at #4.

5. Toronto Blue Jays

I’m sure if you’ve heard, but if you haven’t….. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. IS ALL UP IN THIS PRODUCT!

Take a look at the Blue Jays checklist below:

We may be higher on the Jays checklist than most, however we think it is loaded with potential. I really like a few of these guys not named Vlad a lot!

What I also like about their checklist is the fact that they have 6 other non short printed autos aside from Vlad, making your chances of landing a Blue Jay auto in each break solid! This isn’t a Vlad or bust checklist by any means.

VALUE PLAYS

  1. Chicago White Sox

We loooove us some rookies.

Take a look at the White Sox checklist below:

Eloy and Kopech lead the way for the White Sox, however Frank Thomas, Luis Aparicio and Joe Jackson are also featured on this checklist. The Sox have some home run potential due to Mr. Jackson!

2. Seattle Mariners

We were close to throwing the Mariners up on the TOP PLAYS, but didn’t due to a few too many SSP Autos.

Take a look at the Mariners checklist below:

Anytime I have a chance at landing either an Ichiro or a Griffey Jr. auto in the same break , I AM IN!

Your a lot more likely to land either a Sheffield or Kikuchi auto, however is that a bad thing?

3. San Diego Padres

Fernando Tatis is in this product. Luis Urias is in this product. We are sold on both.

Take a look at the Padres checklist below:

HONORABLE MENTIONS

  1. Baltimore Orioles
  2. Washington Nationals
  3. Houston Astros
  4. St. Louis Cardinals
